McCook Business Plan Competition
As an entrepreneur, you’re always thinking about new
ways to start, improve, or expand your business. This
June, the Hormel Family Foundation is offering a new and
unique opportunity to do exactly that.
On June 15, the Hormel Family Foundation is launching
the first annual business plan competition for McCook
entrepreneurs. Qualifying applicants include new
start-up businesses as well as existing McCook
businesses that are looking for expansion capital.
Businesses have been asked to submit their business
plans by May 22, 2007, to compete with like-minded
entrepreneurs for a chance to receive a $25,000
investment! In exchange, the Hormel Family Foundation
will take a minority stake in your business.
In addition to the $25,000 award, the winner of the
Hormel Business Plan Competition will receive business
consulting services valued at $10,000 from business and
community leaders with strong ties to McCook. In
addition, High Plains Radio (KICX, KBRL, KFNF) and the
McCook Daily Gazette both will be donating valuable
advertising packages to the winner.
On June 15, 2007, a panel of McCook business and
community leaders will decide which business plan has
the best chance of succeeding in McCook. Will it be
yours?

Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank).
